Changes, Changes and More Changes!

Don't worry the changes aren't that bad.  =)  They're more personal than they are professional, however, a few changes will affect CR Photography & Design.  I will apologize now if this post ends up being a confusing mess... that's kind of how our life is right now.

I'll start with a little back tracking.  In June we put our home on the market.  We're ready to be closer to our places of employment (OUR employment? I'll get to that in a minute).  Within the first week we received an offer and we gladly accepted it.  The only kink to the offer was that they had to sell their house.  The offer expires on July 31st.  If they sell their home before then we pick a closing date.  If they can't sell their home they can choose to walk away or they can choose to go ahead and purchase our home, doubling their mortgages until their current home does sell.  I told you our life was a confusing mess.  We've been waiting, and waiting and waiting.  Finally, after talking with my mom, we made the decision to go ahead and move.

So... here we are.  We're moving!  For now we will be staying with my parents (sounds fun right?).  We will be moving at the beginning of August.  This means our current studio phone (aka home phone) will be disconnected.  I am hoping to add an operator message with my cell phone for anyone who misses these updates.  We can still be reached by phone, my cell phone (309.868.3510).  We will also be canceling our internet provider.  That means we will lose our email addresses.  I have set up a temporary gmail account (corirebmann@gmail.com) and will start working on setting up email through our website.  As always we will be available through facebook for messaging and comments.

Now back to the employment.  As many of you know I worked part time at Midland Elementary School last year and absolutely loved it.  My goal was to work full time this coming school year.  Unfortunately, MES didn't have a full time opening for me.  At the same time I was learning of my tentative schedule an opening became available at Limestone High School.  I went for it and got the job!  I will be working full time as a teachers aide, starting the week of August 12th.  I am super excited about the position and joining the "normal" workforce.  Having the same holidays and breaks as my children is also a HUGE plus.

What does that mean for photography? Well, I'm afraid this is where the biggest change comes.  Starting August 1st and continuing through the end of the school year (June) I will not be available for sessions Monday through Friday.  Wait, there is more.... my availability on the weekends will also be limited.   I plan on working two Saturdays a month (during the super busy seasons I'll work three) and absolutely no Sundays.  Naturally, I will make exceptions during Christmas and Spring breaks.  Once school is out my summers will still be scheduled as usual.

I told you it would be a confusing mess!  I apologize or the craziness that will start in about a week.  As much as I hate to say it I think it's going to remain crazy until we are moved into a new house.

Let the crazy begin!
